LD Advanced program for Westwood Debate and Speech. SESSION 3 — March/April Topics $240 per 6-meeting session Advanced Meeting Schedule (2:00pm CT): Meeting 1 (Advanced Framework & Value Weighing): Sunday, March 14, 2027 — 2:00pm (CT) Goal: Teach students how to win "philosophical clash" and use their framework as a filter to exclude or outweigh opponent impacts. Meeting 2 (Advanced Case Construction - Pre-empts & Spikes): Sunday, March 21, 2027 — 2:00pm (CT) Goal: Teach students how to build defensive "spikes" (pre-empting common Neg arguments inside the 1AC) and integrate high-impact evidence with bulletproof internal links. Meeting 3 (Advanced Refutation & Rebuttal Blocks): Sunday, March 28, 2027 — 2:00pm (CT) Goal: Write and execute "multi-point rebuttal blocks." Teach advanced grouping (answering multiple opponent arguments with one cohesive block) and strategic concessions. Meeting 4 (Cross-Examination as a Rebuttal Map): Sunday, April 4, 2027 — 2:00pm (CT) Goal: Turn CX into an offensive weapon that directly structures the next speech. Teach question "funneling" to force logical double-binds. Meeting 5 (Rebuttal Collapsing & "Even-If" Weighing): Sunday, April 11, 2027 — 2:00pm (CT) Goal: Master the 2NR/2AR "Collapse"—abandoning weak arguments to go deep on winning points. Teach "Even-If" impact comparison. Meeting 6 (Advanced Tournament Mastery & Judge Adaptation): Sunday, April 25, 2027 — 2:00pm (CT) Goal: Polish competitive delivery, audit final files, and master adapting to "Lay" (parent) vs. "Flow" (technical) judges.
