Session 3 — Mar/May Topics $240 per 6-meeting session Beginner Meeting Schedule (11:00am CST): Meeting 1 (What is Public Forum? - The Art of Team Persuasion): Sunday, February 28, 2027 — 11:00am (CT) Goal: Introduce the 2v2 partner format, speech roles, and the concept of cost-benefit analysis as the primary decision-making tool in debate. Meeting 2 (Anatomy of an Argument - Claim, Warrant, Impact): Sunday, March 7, 2027 — 11:00am (CT) Goal: Teach students how to construct a complete, logical unit of argument and use the data center topic to make it concrete. Meeting 3 (Grounding Arguments in Evidence): Sunday, March 14, 2027 — 11:00am (CT) Goal: Teach students how to identify, vet, and speak formal evidence citations rather than relying on unbacked opinions. Meeting 4 (Listening & Flowing - The Debater's Notebook): Sunday, March 21, 2027 — 11:00am (CT) Goal: Teach note-taking ("flowing") systems so students can track arguments and organize their refutation. Meeting 5 (The Art of Crossfire - Strategic Questioning): Sunday, April 11, 2027 — 11:00am (CT) Goal: Teach students how to conduct a polite, strategic, and evidence-based Crossfire session. Meeting 6 (Putting It Together - Mini-Round Prep & Confidence): Sunday, April 25, 2027 — 11:00am (CT) Goal: Prepare students for a competitive round with structured preparation routines, team delegation, and confident delivery.
